Pre-transfer checklist

Wrong network deposit risk checklist

Most preventable transfer mistakes come from choosing a network that the receiving side does not support for that asset. Use this checklist before sending funds.

  1. Match the asset ticker, network name, and address format.
  2. Check the receiving deposit page, not only the sending withdrawal page.
  3. Look for memo, tag, minimum deposit, and network maintenance warnings.
  4. Compare fee ratio for your amount.
  5. Use a small test transfer for new routes.

Common warning signs

Pause if the sending page and receiving page use different network names, if the receiving exchange shows a maintenance warning, or if the deposit page requires a memo/tag that you do not understand.

For USDT transfers, compare TRC20 vs ERC20 and then use the fee calculator.

This checklist reduces common mistakes but cannot guarantee recovery if a transfer is sent to an unsupported network.
